Newark Poetry Society
Newark Poetry Society
The District Council, under the direction of Ross Bradshaw, helped us to set up Newark Poetry Society for the reading, writing and appreciation of poetry, following enthusiasm generated by poetry readings in Newark Library as part of the Millennium celebrations. Over the past nine years we have gone from strength to strength with an annual Open Poetry Competition, monthly meetings with a mixed programme, bi-monthly Stand and Deliver Sessions and a regular newsletter ‘Reading, Writing and Rhythm’, also known as the 3Rs.
Meetings are from 7.30pm on the fourth Monday of each month with bi-monthly Stand and Deliver sessions. All meetings at the ‘Fjellgar’ barge, Farndon Marina, Farndon, unless stated otherwise.
